In the second half of 2019, SITES continued to carry out periodic inspections on structures crossing the South Europe-Atlantic High Speed Line (LGV S.E.A.) on behalf of the line’s maintenance operator, MESEA.
To ensure these structures’ sustainability, SITES deployed a number of its skills, specifically visual inspections of structural parts via pods (on upper surfaces, box girder, lower surfaces and piers), topometric monitoring of structures, remote inspections by ScanTubes®, and so on.
The S.E.A. high speed train Line, which is over 300 km long, was commissioned in 2017 and connects Tours and Bordeaux.

A mobile camera is brought to the top of the pier from the deck, enabling fast and accurate inspection of the inside of the piers at a height of 15 to 30 m.
